Post subject:  Suggestions for winch bar?

Hey guys im trying to consider my options for getting myself a new front bar, hopefully one that can take a winch (which i hope to get in the future too!)

Im really leaning towards the JML bar, and for the price i dont think i could do much better! Im just not too sure if they are still being made or not? Havnt been able to get in contact with joeblow as of yet?

The other option i was considering was making myself a tube bar? But then of course theres the fuck around designing it, getting materials, fabbing it all up, painting etc etc. I could customize it alot more i spose, but for the quality compared to the JML bar (which would shit on mine for sure) and then the costs, i dont think id save myself much time/money after it all?

Then The final option is i could just go to the wreckers and try and find a decent ARB bar (brand new is out of the question for the $1000+ price) and fixing it up a bit? But then theres the time hunting around for a good quality one?

Any suggestions would be more then welcome, this is something on my long long list of things to do

Cheers,
Aaron

Ones a ARB bar the other is a custom bar that pretty much any decent fabricator could make.

To be honest, ive never really like the look of the TSOR ones. Just dont do it for me

Anyone have any idea on the cost of the piranha ones? They do really look like ARB ones to me?

If you have cut the bumper outriggers off ( I'm guessing you have) you'll have to work out how to add enough strength in the end of the chassis to mount a bar that can be winched off of, regardless of whose bar you use.

The problem isn't with the bar, it's with the end of the chassis.

Steve.

Then dont buy one but prob not the thing to say when the owner post above your post!

It looks like a ARB bar because it IS an ARB bar.
Go to a fabricator and get them to make what you want.
And take into account what Steve said re the mounts.

Hey I don't give a shit  If you really break it down, the TSOR bar is just a strenghened version of the lower half of the ARB bar.....
