My Jimny has a cracking noise around the radius arm/ shock mount on the rear diff.
Could be inside the diff or around that area as far as I can hear.
It's when I drive on bumps or anything that rocks my car.
Car doesn't need to be moving, does it while it's parked and I rock the car.
Ive check all bolts they are tight. Springs are sitting right. Rubbers are good.

Cheers

Have you been flexing it?

Maybe it's cracked the diff brackets?

Maybe it's just mud that got in to the bushes and you need to pull it all apart and clean it up?

Maybe Coil noises?

Yes I flexed it one afternoon and it started making the noise after it.
I've had a good look and I can't see any of the welds cracked.
It's not the usually Jimny crack noise when flex it up, it's much worse.
Cracks when the car moves side to side or when ever the diff moves up and down.

Checked the panhard rod brackets, chassis bracket and diff bracket?

Panhard brackets are good. I put my ear down to the diff and I can here it around the radius arm bracket or in the diff, or it could be ekoing from somew where else?

Is it the coil
Try rotating it back away from the step in the seat

I'm 100% sure it's in the diff or around the radius arm bracket, as I rock the car with my ear down near the diff.

Check your bolts that hold arms in place, I had same noise and ended up being chewed out bolts allowing arm to move. Lay under car and see if arm moves. If u replace the bolts make sure u use spring washers and loktite as they will work loose in no tine at all.

Okay so I found the problem. Bottom shocky bolt was a tad loose causing it to warn/stretch the metal bush inside.
So bolt was hitting the bush when diff went up and down.
Put new bush in and Tighten it right up and no noise now :D
But now I seen that my radius arm bushes are fecked :(
Cheers guys

Well I snapped one shocky bolt, lost one, and now this one came loose with a months driving.
I think I need a spring washer or some locktite in there.
