So much confusion....

Have another go at that post Dave. Hubs get hot regardless of being driven or not.

How can you tell your getting a switched one liter case?? Is the hand brake on the back of the back of the case?? Cheers off topic but not worth starting a new thread

a switched case has a 4x4 switch, a non switched one doesnt

But he didn't clarify how to tell if it's a One Litre switched case!

Put the case into low range and turn the brake drum one full rotation, and count how many times the Input flange turns while you do it. It helps if you put a Texta or chalk mark on both the drum and flange before you start.

A 1.3 case will turn the Input 2 and a quarter times, while a 1.0 case will turn it 2 and a half times. If your mark on the flange is 180deg from where you started, it's a 1.0 case, if it's 90deg then it's a NT 1.3.
