I've just looked through my lil manual, all it say's is " cooling fan is switched on at "a" temp....
Doesn't say what..... & that's a Suzuki manual...

What temp does the baleno coil pack motor radiator fan switch on???? Trying to sort out my Sierra Baleno conversion. I'm gonna assume that vittie coil pack engines switch same temp. I have had it up to 105 Celsius proper on a mercury gauge. |

hang on, do you have a baleno coil pack engine or Vitara one? did the 1.6 GV have an engine driven fan? Did you find a manual and look and see what it says? |

Can anyone tell me what ohms the baleno coil pack motor switches? For the thermal fan to work? I have a mpfi cool pack baleno motor. No manuals. No way to access Manuals easily. |

IAT is air temp isnt it? anyway, if they are lower resistance for higher temp, unplug the sensor and (assuming it has 2 wires to it) bridge them and see if the fan comes on, if they run higher resistance at higher temp just unplug it and see if the fan comes on, if not check your wiring into the ecu |

It's a three plug. If ya unplug it, the fan turns on. |

The sensor is shagged. When it gets hot it's not sending signal back to Ecu. My tricky mate used the magic testie multimeter to work it out |

| thanks stekky. I got the 411 on how to test shit with the multimeter so I've learned stuff.
Explain this to me stekky. Even if it was cold ya unplug it and the fan turns on. How do you mean I already had the answer. I like learnings |

the ecu wants to see a certain amount of resistance to earth or higher to switch the fan on when you unplug the sensor then its infinite resistance which in this case will be higher than its mark so turns on, its also somewhat of a failsafe for broken wires or unplugged sensors |
