Hi i have been looking at buying a lwb sierra soft top but i dont want the soft top i would like to make it a hard top and come down just behind the drivers seat to make it into a hard top but cab with a tub ute type end. I would just like to know more about the conversions the only thing is the sierra im looking at is on gas so the tank sits right behind the front seats |

you are talking about a maruti fibre glass top. very hard to find depending on where the tank is it either will or will not fit. or you can get a sustom canvas cover made so it will be like a maruti top but canvas, $$ but probab;y quicker than finding a maruti top. |

Another option would be to graft the c-pillar and rear door from a hard top swb sierra onto the LWB body. Lots of work, but IMO it would look great ( if done properly) |

I'm sure there is enough slack in the gas line to be able to relocate it 100 or 200mm rearwards. Even if there isn't, a gasfitter or LPG shop shouldn't charge much to extend it. |
