Hi all, I have been given some man Vitara front diff heads and want to put them in my Samurai. My current set up is 1.6 Vit motor, 1ltr transfer case , 2inch sus lift , 2inch body lift, Vit power steer, 31's . Now if I chuck in the crown wheel and pin's out of the vitara what's my top end going to do?, maybe 32's,33's could be on the cards? or should I go back to a Samurai transfer case? cheers Al NZ ( home of the Rugby World cup |

Did the calculations. Your current RPM at 100km/h is about 3500. Your new RPM with the 1.0l case and 5.12:1 diff gears will be about 4750, or in other words, revving its nuts off When I did the calcs I used the numbers from the factory owners manual and I got the 1.0l transfer ratios from one of 303zukes posts.

And with 33's with 5.12 diff gears and 1.0l tcase the revs at 100 will be 4500. With a standard tcase and 5.12 diff gears it will be about 4000. |
