You need the alternator out of the EF/EL Falcon. Make sure it is the 110A one as that one is easier to fit than the 100A one. It is almost a straight fit as far as I know (not actually fitted one YET)

Any idea how much bigger the falco alternator is? Obviously my engine bay is a little different but I do know that it is pretty tight in that area. Clutch cable, steering shaft, rad hoses. I'm sure i've heard of this being done before but jeez, it must be a bastard to work on.

I've done it Damo. Its a piece of piss. Its on my old 1.3 in the green one if you want to have a look. It fitted in mine with the vitara power steering and everything quite easily. I want to swap it onto my 1.6 now but I haven't been able to find a multi v pulley to replace the single v one on the falcon unit. Guess I shouldn't have ditched the original multi v one when I put it on the 1.3. :x

Cool i'll have to have a look at it. What diameter is the pulley you need? I'm pretty sure I have a multi rib pulley that might work.

I have a pulley that might work too

Thanks boys. I'll strip the existing pulley off and get some measurements. The problem isn't so much the pulley diameter but the depth the centre shaft sits into the alternator case before it hits the bearing.

Standard is a little less than 45A so anything has to be better

I think the Falco one is used as it fits with minimal mods
