Yep, and that makes it perfect for a sierra as the result is a strong box with lots of pitman arm options that bolts to the inside of the RHS chassis rail.

So you have to put the radiator somewhere else..
A 60 series Landcruiser box with Pitman arm is 14Kg, According to my bathroom scales.
They are a very similar size to an ifs box.
Mounts outside chassis and pitman arm faces forward. I would run this box if i still ran leafs (no panhard mount)and didnt have a chassis number in the way.

Yeah LHD, i measured up a RHD one and there are smaller than a Vitara power steer box in most dimentions. only radius is bigger.
If i can get the shipping reasonable, i think $40 for a box is perfect.
edit: Its going in an LJ so the radiator isnt an issue cost they sit up higher as standard than a sierra.

Low Range use UPS, they use some sort of standard box deal with a flate rate for what you can shove in that one box.
UPS Worldwide Express Saver $260 for a '10kg' box with 10kg in it.
Im not sure if thats the box they are using. But its about half the cost of the other UPS options, like your own box but choosing thier "cheapest shipping method".
You should have bought the box from low range..

the one i measured was 30mm shorter top to bottom,
30mm shorter on the horizontal. but 20mm bigger in diameter of the body.
it was the older style one, rather than the newr one which is bigger again

low range would probably ship one to me from around $65 using USPS.
however, they sell boxes for $300+
the boxes im looking at getting are $40
so theres a fair bit of difference.
If it comes down to it i will just buy a rebuilt one from LOwrange
