hey guys I have a hidden coolant leak. its a g16b motor Its not the pipe out of back of the water pump or any of the hoses that I can see. I nearly seems to be coming from under the timing belt cover?? where are the common spots for them to leak? not I'd normally be the first to say put a pressure tester on It but I dont really need to as its leaking I just cannot see where. suggestions. |

yeah right its only happening when the system pressurises so it could well be under the cover, because fucked if I can see where its coming from. fuck it now I'm going to have to pull the shit box apart again only drove it for an hour too |

i had a leak on the lower front hose which only appeared under pressure, and it squirted a fine mist of coolant to the back of the block... was looking all over the place before i noticed it when i had my arm in there and my arm got wet! lol there was no white crusties at all around the leak, which was a pinhole right against the hose clamp. |

I replaced my water pump while engine was in bits. Was very cheap from the local auto shop. Forget exact price, but I was suitably surprised. edit; found reciept $55 brand new (with a trade/regular discount) |

Stick ya fingers behind the pulley as far as you can go.. there is a drain hole there to let ya know that the seal on the water pump shaft seal has given up the ghost |
