Post subject:  SQ625 Temp and fuel gauges

Got a couple of silly, trivial questions about our 02 GV (V6 lazy shifter) that kinda stem from only owning it for 3-4 days so far.

Where does the temp gauge usually sit when at operating temp. Ours sits just over half way of the "normal" zone of the gauge. Doesn't seam to fluctuate much from there when driving. Haven't done any longer trips in it so far tho
At the moment it's not real hot over this way so wondered if this was the norm.

Is the fuel gauge linear. If you've done 200kms and the gauge says 1/2, will that mean I can get 400kms to a tank.

Like I said, silly and trivial but I was wondering.

My temp gauge sits just under half, around the beginning of the decal.

Could also be a slight variance from gauge to gauge and different temp sender.

I've found the fuel gauge pretty linear as you say. get 400-50 around town and 500-50 just on the highway.

X 2
Mine sits just under half to... and goes up to just over half, when 4wheelin... i have found the fuel gauge fluctuates a bit for me, and doesnt read very accurately, until it gets to half a tank... i can go for a drive, park in the garage, it will say one reading, but in the morning it will read lower, also, if i get a pressure build up in the tank, it will show the needle drop very quickly... as for fuel usage, i get at least 450 to 480kms around town, and that being a lead foot, h'way, only done fairly short trips, like a couple of hours, but i could easily get 550km, and 600km is a possibility, i know some here have got that... :D
