.........17 Digit chassis number embossed here

.......................................1 - 800 kg

....ENGINE....G13A

I also have no idea what & how the weights "measure" up

In the picture the Chassis number has been covered by "carpaintwizzard"
So what's the number above it ?

I know that the chassis # is the car's code, Eg SJ XXX + birthday and what number it was when it rolled off the production line.

I'm pretty sure the weights thing is:
1330kg - dry (tare) weight
2430 - GVM
1-530 - weight on front axle
1-800 - weight on rear axle

front + rear axle weights = tare weight

They don't know for sure

They seem to think its the type approval

Approval code's that say this car met design standard's blah blah blah..

I have access to a "dealer lookup tool" - PM me the VIN and I'll let you know what it says.

It should work for Australian market vehicles - it does NOT work for used Japanese imports.

The Aus Standards compliance plate will be different.

This plate that you are asking, will be from where the car was made. Jap land maybe.

My 88'sierra has about 12 different standards on the plate. My 00' jim had 2 letters for aus compliance.
