i have got a type R temp gauge that im planing on putting in my jimny i was wondering how do i set it up the bottom left goes to the sender does anyone know what wire from the plug in the pics would be the sender wire i think ive got the right plug |

by putting to the dash light circuit it will allow the light to turn on when you turn your lights on so you can see your gauge at night |

the black one is an earth red is light power so it only has power when light is turned on |

k thanks i just wasnt sure if the other power one would do that any ideas on what wire is the sender from the engine |

you'll need to run the aftermarket sender that came with the gauge, it's resistance will be calibrated to the gauge. |

no cause the wire goes to the stock gauge in the dashboard, leave it alone & wire up the new gauge following the instructions. you need to use the sender that came with the aftermarket gauge as it's resistance is calibrated to the temp range shown on the aftermarket gauge. |

ok do you know if there is a spot for the sender in a jimny as i think the stock sender is completely different to the one with the gauge |

haha nar i bought the gauge and gauge holder for my sierra due to its temp gauge didnt work but i sold it and now i thort sence i bought it i may aswell put it to use and they read the temp better and let you know if the temp going up b4 the stock unit does |
