I need to know what is the biggest tyre I can fit on my 5 door vitara 2.0 V6 1997 model.
Yes I could search but I have read so many posts on tyre size it gets to me. I need to pass a roadworthy and have to get tyres and would rather buy once so I dont have to fuck around and waste money.
I have sixteen inch rims and was thinking of a 245/70R16 = 749mm od
Let me know o muighty fellow vitara drivers....

hey mate, It depends on what State you live in as to tyre size upsizing... not sure about the state of "Licking some Windows" but in NSW its 2 Inches Overall Diameter.

Why not Just Run Tank Treads under it. Plenty of Tread to show him.

Why not Just Run Tank Treads under it. Plenty of Tread to show him. Cause that would be silly. Qld says max 15mm tyre size upgrade. So fuck it might as well go for gold. Found some almost new cheapy's so need to know what I need to make em fit. Will a 2 inch bodylift be enough???? or do I need some lifted springs/spring spacers too???

on my lwb v6 i have them with just spring lift it was 3 inches but is more like 2 inches now they rubbed on up travel but bashed the front gaurds out and cut the plastics and bashed the seam over in the rear and they only hit the chassis now from not enough offset

Thanks tombutt thats heaps of info for me anyway. Knowing what they do is important and since I will only be bashing over gutters at the mall and the occasional " Oh my fucking god I am drunk" beach trips they sound like a winner.
