Does anybody know a good place that could press a new bearing onto my rear sierra axle? Any recomendations would be appreciated. |

I thought hammers were invented so you didn't need a press |

I don't know where abouts you are but I take all the stuff I need a press for to Tyres and More in Port Kennedy, they are always happy to help out and on ask for a few bucks. I had them press out the old bushes in my tailing arms and clean them up for 20 bucks. Hope that helps if not use your jack to create a press but ensure you employ safety squint and stand back.......ha ha. |

Heads up for next time, a length of pipe on top of the old bearing presses in the shrink ring in a few taps, is cheaper than $40 and re-usable. ![]() ![]() I got it from bunnings as it was a Sunday. |

When re-installing the shaft into the rear housing, how much of the bearing should be protruding from the housing (if any)? I have about 2mm of bearing exposed outside the housing, I presume the recess in the brake drum is to allow for this? Cheers guys. |
