was planning the exact same thing this weekend actually. so the 1lt brackets bolt straight to the 1.3 radiator and then fit with redrilling holes, good news...
no cable tied in place radiators in my new car!!

Hi i need a new radiator for my 1 liter but there not to easy to get for a good price so i found a 1.3 for a good price and i have heard that they fit i just need to know how much work would be involved into putting the 1.3 radiator into my 1 liter |

You'll need the 1.3 radiator brackets as well as the bits welded to the chassis that they bolt to but these bits aren't hard to make if you can't get some. You'll probably also need to sort a custom fan shroud. |

Ok my radiator has sprung a little leak and im thinking its now time put put the 1.3L radiator i bourght the other day in anyone wana help me i don't really know what i have to do to make it fit without hurting my suzi |

oh and the 1ltr rad brackets work fine no welding needed and the 1ltr fan shroud fits with 1 new hole needing to be drilled. It really is simply just a matter of drilling a couple of new holes and bolting it straight in, ive done 4 of them now. |

ok - for ebay 1.3 alloy rads into 1ltr remove old rad and plastic rad drip tray passenger side top mount on new rad remains use holes on old rad as template for spacing and drill new hole (make it larger to allow for easier fitment) measure hole spacing widthways on old radiator and mark on new one use old rad as template line up with width marks and drill drivers holes Trial fit minus shroud (slight bending of rad brackets may be necessary but can be done in the car) depending on what model rad u have drivers bottom rad mount may need minor trimming to clear steering box/chassis bracket check bolts fit, then place 1ltr shroud over fan and install new rad bolt up shroud and bend slightly, install 3 bolts (check fan clearance) bend shroud slightly and use either a self tapper or drill and use a bolt to mount thru lower passenger shroud hole (easy to do in car) and done. also worth noting is that the 6 blade fan of a 1.3ltr engine is a direct swap with the 1ltr 4 blade fan and provides alot more airflow with noticeable improvement over standard. cheers mick |
