Ok as some of you might know Im having a little bit of a problem with my engine wiring. When I got the car the engine bay wiring was all cut up and with really no headlight, blinker horn plugs attached to it plus a heap of other random cables that have been cut. So I decided to ditch it and get a new (used non cut) WT sierra engine bay loom. I got the WT one because I have a WT dash (was already installed) the dash had an AC button on it, but not really ready to install AC at the moment. So just got a standard WT loom. But my problem is that the plugs coming from the cab don't match the engine bay loom plugs not even the same colors. My question is, Is the AC and non AC wiring different and is NT and WT engine loom different. Or how hard is it to change the dash wiring? Still need to find out if I can plug the new lot into my sierra ECU I cant seem to find a wiring diagram with a AC on it to try and compare the two. |

The engine bay loom is pretty basic on a sierra... If your looms don't connect (it sounds like your WT dash still has the NT loom?) I would be inclined to just connect the plugs from your new loom to the cut wires on your old loom... that's going to be a lot easier than replacing the dash loom. Is the 'cuts' on the old loom near the plug ends? (ie. headlights) if so it should be pretty basic to lay the loom in the car and see where each wire goes from its position. Do you know if the dash loom is working properly? What is this 'Sierra ECU'??? I thought all Aussie Sierras were carb? |

Little problem with the loom I left it at stekies house but when he moved he must have thrown it out I thought it was going to be an easy plug n play. its not an ecu as such just a little metal box that my interior loom is plugged into. So look like a whole dash rewire as well |

Single pin white/yellow comes from alt and should connect into interior loom w/y. Blue plug should have a partner same colour inside. White plug should have a white plug in the cab. These three should have there matching plugs top left behind dash.... 4 Pin 18mm wide, should be female? blue/yellow, blue/red, blue/white and blue. Is window wiper. 6 pin thats now 5 pins, almost looks like the plug up behind the cluster... but its on the wrong side? NFI on the others though |
