ill-eagle, unless it's a mega light weight trailer & car you're towing, pretty sure the maximum weight for a SWB Vit is 750kg's braked/unbraked |

Vitara is 500kg, maybe 550kg Ive towed an empty car trailer, across a yard, even that was a bit much for it |

I towed an MR2 about 2km without the car trailer... Wasn't too bad through town, low speed limit and I was in low range the whole way Like the rest said, not recommended unless it's a light load. |

What are you planning to tow??? can go pear shaped really quick towing with a SWB, especially one that doesn't have the power to pull you out of trouble on a downhill. |

Thanks for the info guys, I thought it would be a bit much for it. I have a Toyota AE71 track car that I would like to keep unregistered and tow to track, no risk of fines or defects. Think I might have to rego it! |

I A-frame my Samurai around with my SWB 2.0 Vit but only when the road is dry and I'm pretty careful on the downhills. I'm looking for a LWB though for towing and camping. |

probably not worth towing the AE71, since you will get fined anyway... at least you might be a chance of getting away if you were driving it..lol |
