hi all,

just bought a 1999 auto jimny, and the box is noisy, and hard shifting so ive been chasing around wreckers to find another box without much luck..
does anyone know if a auto gearbox out a later jimny with an M series motor will bolt up to my jimny with G series motor?

and ive read different things about converting a jimny from auto to manual, like you have to change out the engine wiring loom and all sorts..
does anyone have more knowledge about the swap? or have possibly done it??

any help would be awesome,

M series gearbox will not mount to G series without a lot of effort, I am sure it can be done... somehow... not worth the effort.

Keep looking for a g gearbox, or convert to m series engine and gearbox and loom etc (a lot of work) imo
