Post subject:  Replacing L/H Rear Axle Seal

Hey Fellas,

My rear Axle Seal is leaking pretty bad and I need to replace it. Can anyone give me some advice on the best way to do it or where I can read more information about it.

Also what tools and materials will I need. Cheers

You will need to replace the bearing at the same time. If one is leaking it is a good idea to do the other side at the same time 'cos it will start leaking about a week later  You will need a grinder, a press and basic hand tools.

Word of advice, don't use non geniune seals.
When I did my bearings a had a non genuine seal and a geniune seal.
You can guess what seal is fucked straight away after I put it in.

Basic spanner socket set chain or rope to pull out axel steel tube to press bearings on know how to bleed brakes grinder that's it from memory pretty easy once you do one side and clean the inside of your drums so it looks good until you hit mud hahaha
