It could also be a welsh plug gone in the inlet manifold. One of those killed my Sierra motor in the desert |

About 1 foot long, 1 inch in diamter, fairly straight I think, but can't remember totally. Theres a nother bendy one out the bottom of the water pump, but sounds like you blew the other one like royce suggests |
