Ok guys i want to run a 33" tyre, and there is so many out there i dont want to buy a tyre that is too hard and doseent flex, or a tyre that is poor and wears to nothing in a few months. I want a good lasting tyre that will last me a long time and be good with rock and mud, as i live in wamuran 2 minutes from glasshouse. And it is mostly mud and rock, these tyres will have to look good, fit on a 15x8 inch rim and have decent tread. People are telling me tsl super swampers, then another guy said there good for mud no good for rock, And there too hard so i am puzzled, another guy said km2 then another guy said there good for rock but fill up with mud and there hopeless so any ideas will be very appreciated thanks. p.s matt |

Silverstone Extreme MT-117 or Maxxis Trepadors. I have owned or seen these in action and wouldn't use anything else at GH. |

Cheers mate but the trapadores are not a bios tyre in the 33 are they ?? The silverstone extreme 33" are actually a 32" i herd so yeah but are the treps in the non bios tyre any good, If so it will most likely be them. I herd the tsl iroks are awsome but never used or seen them in person. ?? |

I had a play in a wet rocky creekbed the other day in my zoom that would be described as a hardcore track for anything less than twin locked big tyred vehicles and was very impressed with my 34x10.5 Swamper TSL's. Even on wet rock and not aired down as much as I like due to my current rims (this is why I would suggest 15x7's not 15x8 as mine get bead leaks easily) they performed brilliantly. I've own simex extreme Trekkers before and these perform better on rock and next to no difference in mud. I would like to try the silverstone extremes as I like that tread pattern and with bigger voids and softer rubber compound they would suit a zook even better than a simex pede but sizing issues and high pricing for what is knockoff brand and also rumors of needing tubes due to out of round has deterred me thus far. I buy my tyres over the net usually so if I could see a silverstone extreme in person before purchase and it measured correctly I would probably buy them. I just wasn't certain if I wanted 35" or 33" as conflicting info regarding sizing made it confusing. My swampers measure up as a true 34" but I've heard they're small, I wanted a 33" but bigger is better than smaller IMO. My pedes were about 32" in 31x10.5 sizing. I would buy treps if they came in bias style for Suzuki sizes. |

simex jungle trekkers or boggers really do kill all the others even the other offerings from simex and silverstone when it comes to soley mud tyres |

I wont matter what you buy, if your car is stock any brand in 33's are going to be a waste of time, bigger is not always better and to me this line says it all "these tyres will have to look good" |

Outdrove my shithouse Simex 32's on a basically identical car. Who cares if the tyre isn't a "true" 33"? I doubt you will find any tyre that measures exactly its advertised size.. |

They gum up and won't throw the clay. They are also useless on wet rock. |

MrRocky wrote: can only speak for the mud we have here in w.a. where they blitz all the other styles, maybe your just not spinnin em fast enough I've never owned JT's let alone spun them up. Have seen 4 sets on hiluxes, patrol and even rangie and they were all useless on clay and wet rock. They might be better in less sticky soils but not here. Pretty embarrassing for the lux driver having to winch up a 5" step up on a slick rock hill (Ball Bearing at GH), that 4 other cars had just driven. |

matt.scorgie wrote: the step is more than 5 inch lol its like at leaats 45cm bust then again i havent seen it for donkey years. Bullshit... The main step on ball bearing is at least 600 high. The step I was talking about is 15 metres down the hill from the main ledge and is 5" or 125mm. |

By the time the beadlock is fitted, the rims will be close to 9" wide. Are the tyres 10.5 or 12.5 wide? |

matt.scorgie wrote: the tyres are a 10.5 to my knolage but im not certain will that be an issue Then its probably best to start with a 7" rim. After the beadlock is fitted it will be close to 8"wide. |

on road the silverstones may equal boggers as the worst 4wd tyre ever the jt2's are much nicer |
