Post subject:  30s vs 31s

Hi guys got my first zook the other week have got 2" body lift and 2" extended shackles coming (the springs arent sagged at all) and now I'm buying some federal couragia tyres just dunno whether to get 31 by 10.5s or 30 by 9.5s I'm worried the 31s will be to wide and rub on full lock and when fully compressed.. Would there really be much difference in performance between the two should I just get 30s?

With a good offset and the body lift it shouldn't scrubs on 31's anywhere after some like guard smoothing with a hammer.

Yeah I don't think it's got enough offset it has 30s now but on full lock it's close to the springs I reckon any wider it will rub

Rubbing is fine. Taking chunks out is another thing.

Well it's actually closest to the bolt through the clamp on the spring pack so it probably will take chunks lol

Must be that OME type spring pack.

My pack has folded flat bar clamping mine.

Post subject:  Re: 30s vs 31s

I have the 30's in the fedral muddies, when i got them home and put them on they were plenty big enough, they seem to be a big 30 as there is almost no differance between my 30 fedrals and a mater 31s in a bridgestone. without gearing i would be sticking with the 30s

Sounds like mine was. Either turn it around or just get rid of it :)

30's or 31's you will want/need/have to have some reduction gearing.

Do you guys know if the blu pac springs are any good?

Author:  primejo07 [ Fri Mar 23, 2012 12:14 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: 30s vs 31s

I've got a blupac 2" suspension lift... For the price i think they are great. Although they are really stiff on the road and have minimal flex without taking a leaf out and stuff. I've had mine on for 7 months and overtime the ride does get better though

Post subject:  Re: 30s vs 31s

So have you taken a leaf out of yours? Mine rides pretty stiff I dunno what the springs are though I was thinking about taking a leaf out for better ride and more flex
