Seized brake caliper maybe?

it moves freely on the actual calliper bits. is it possible for piston to sieze? whats the fix for that?

That's what I mean. The piston could be seized. Some times they get rust on the out side that stops them from sliding back in. Take caliper of the car, take shoes out and see if you can push the piston back in. If it doesn't slide in with ease, then you may have to take it apart to see what condition the piston and seals are in.

Seized caliper piston.
Can't remember how many I've replaced or rebuilt on my white car.

Rebuild kits are available on Ebay, quite cheap too.

They tend to be fairly tight - some caliper designs allow you to slide a pin punch through the line fitting and tap them out - others require compressed air - make sure your fingers are not in the way and put a block of wood where the rotor fits before pressurizing the caliper.

If air won't pop the piston you may have to find a fitting to screw a grease gun to it and push it out with grease.

The other way that I've used is to put the caliper back on the car, bleed the brakes and then push the pedal. Forces the piston out same as want33's grease idea :D

is there a article on installing the seal kit? looks like i gotta remove a inner ring inside the caliper that holds the piston seal in?
