Post subject:  Coily body lift Q's

Hey guys, have just put the body lift in my coily yesterday arvo, after lowering and getting into pos i have then gone to move through the gears, 2nd and reverse are very tricky to get into. (hitting on the gear boot housing)

I then loosend up jacked up and tried rolling the chassis into a better pos for the gear stick, but after lowering and tighting again, same problem.

I was wondering if any1 else has had this problem? common? Do i alter my gear stick? (chop and weld)

Thanks heaps

yes very common problem..

on a leafy its the 4wd stick that hits,, cut a 1x1 inch notch into the tunnel and fold the metal under,
then put a slice in the gear boot..
never had a problem with the gearbox gearstick though? (on a 93 leafy)

If you look at the gear shift boot, there is usually an inner and outer boot. Trim away the inner. Failing that do as mentioned above :peaceout:

No need to cut the tunnel. Just unbolt the rubber boot, move it backwards/down the tunnel where it feels comfortable and tape or screw fix it into position.
