Ok guys I am going to place an order at Jimnybits ( unless someone can tell me where it's cheaper in oz?) Here are the things I think I may need to comfortably lift it 3" with provision for a further 2" body lift later if desired. 3" springs/shocks Castor corrected radius arms Extended brake hoses Adjustable panhard kit F and R Pitman drop arm Rear panhard relocating bracket Steering damper Shock reposition spacers Tailshaft extenders 1" This whole lot with wheel spacers, transfer case guards, radius arm gaurds, some extra bolts and poly bushes comes to a grand total of $2170 Aussie shipped to my door. I know warranty problems could be an issue etc but I looked at a set of dropped radius arms on another site at $1100 plus shipping and it scared the crap outa me! I love my country and try to support local products 100 percent but I draw the line at being plainly overcharged. Please help guys as I have no idea what bits are needed maybe more? Maybe half this stuff I don't need? Any suggestions for local guys to supply bits at reasonable prices?

dont need pitman arm. i asked him directly and he said you dont need it for the 3" lift (which i have, and got from JB also) he said its for massive 4" and above lift and you wouldnt notice any gains from having it on 3"
steering damper is up to you. i just took mine off. you only need the 1 prop shaft extension for the fwd diff, rear not needed at all as theres no camber correction on the back axel causing the prop shaft to "shorten" if you have the adjustable panhard kit, you dont need the panhard relocator bracket. (to my knowledge) i dont have one. what are shock reposition spacers?? if they are those rear brackets for the lower mount point, they are cool. i got them also with the long bolts (but never used the long bolts, didnt want to drill my threads out)
Oh, and you know wheel spacers are illegal right?
so yeah, id drop those things. and use the money on perhaps some servicing gear from him. get a wheel bearing ringlock tool also. i know his air filters and brakes are fairly cheap too, or even some spare bushings. I regretted not buying things like that from my 1st order from JB.

you don't need those shock repositioners if you have castor corrected rear radius arms as well as having new dampers.(but they will help for flex a little) you only need one 25mm prop spacer for the front. you don't need a dropped pitman arm, don't need panhard relocating bracket, if you have adjustable panhards, steering damper im surprised you don't already have one to stop the wobble of the stock jimny, Wheel spacers i wouldn't get they are illegal anyway, and its cheap enough to get a high negative offset steel rims anyway
and if your going a 3" lift i wouldn't bother with the body lift. 3" is all you need for 31's and unless your going to go bigger, but then your gonna need to start buying replacement CV's

The ORA 4.5" lift doesn't have one, nor does the D&G tuning kit. I think of you were to add a drop pitman arm, you would end up with massive bump steer, unless you change the panhard rod mount to suit. Someone please correct me if i am wrong?

there is one that i know of made by zanfi.it you can see it here, this one is made for a 4" lift so unless you are going that or more its not needed http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... 9iIH2n7KPQwith out it all it causes is more stress on your trackrod ends bushing, even at 4.5" lift you can get away with out having it. if your really worried add some spacers to the stock pitman arm to lower it a bit. something that would be good to get would be HD steering and tie rods, but iv been told just welding a bit of angle iron to them does a pretty good trick.

I don't have a front prop shaft spacer, will have a closer look in the morning to see how extended the slip yoke is. Rear shock lower mounts are a good idea to avoid bending shocks as it rotates the eye 90 degrees. You'll fit 31s but I think monley can confirm that some guard trimming will be required. My 30s are a fairly tight fit in the standard guards.

I know that ur ORA arms mvoed ur front axle forward so now u dnt have scrubbing issues..... but does the JB arms do the same???? or they just take care of the caster

Its not that big a move forward my ORA arms where only like 10-20mm longer then stock for a 3" lift

Stock ends. AFAIK Monley didn't want to have to machine his knuckles to fit bigger ones.

Thanks guys, I was going to ask pretty much the same Question. Just ordered now from JB, unfortunatly they don't have any steering dampeners in stock so will have to wait for that. Can't wait to get it in and try it.
