| Post subject: | sj40 tail shafts |
hi all im new to the suzuki world . ive just brought a 82 sj40 hardtop for abit of fun . im putting a hotted up 4k in it i have from a old corolla and a 4 speed . also plan on spring over conversion , 31s and a cig front locker what im mainly worried about is the size of the tail shaft and front shaft there tiny , are they a problem , common to break kinda thing ide love some feedback to put my mind at rest or can you just bolt in newer sierra shafts |

My zook has a 4k it, not hotted up or anything, hasn't broken a driveshaft. It's not really much to worry about, a 4k is hardly a power plant Spend more time trying to get the gearbox output lined up well with the transfer input mine is a little out and the unis flog out pretty quickly due to the heaps short jackshaft. |

ok good . ive got a old dellow conversion kit that i got from a buddy so ide asume that it will line up well . and dont be baging 4ks the one i have is just as fast as a standard 4age . twin sidedrafts . ported 3k head . 40tho bored pistons . full balance . big cam . lock,stock , the f***ing lot |
