With a FWD transaxle. One driveshaft drove the "god winch" the other drives back to a transfer case. Top speed approximately 90km/h at 8000rpm.
It's 100% possible to build a pto off a sierra transfer, but it's going to be a lot of work. I could only really think of two applications - a winch, or a high speed compressor. PTO winches, and high speed stand alone (belt drive) compressors are super heavy and bulky. PTO driven stuff is really intended for all day/every day type use in non-weight-critical applications. I don't really think a sierra is a good candidate.
