Nah this swap is something I hadn't thought of. I had suggested the earlier non VVT transfer which would give the same high range reduction but this option gives a greater reduction in low range and also retains the push-button electric transfer. Good on you Drew for stepping out and doing this swap. Wouldn't have worked for me because I didn't want that much high range reduction but running 31s it would be perfect. I was just talking to kyzermatingsly today about this swap and other options to suit his setup. Will have to send him this thread link. Since swapping to 30s myself I've been thinking of 4.09 diffs and 4.16 transfer gears. |

atari4x4 wrote: yeah lots... i think it was a thread started by that nob jockey from WA with the white jimny... DrewMouldy? i'm thinking it might have got split out when his posts got removed. yeah Drew Mouli started this one I think. The same guy who helped me more about Jimny M18 conversions then all you lot, and the same guy who had a great post in here about his first hand experience comparing an Auto Jimny transfer case to a Manual Jimny transfer case. It stated the difference in gearing and his experience with it after doing the swap. If it's really true that the mods had his posts removed, then I wouldn't go as far as saying they idiots, but the act of deleting those posts without any moderating which ones to delete is definately down there with the moronic side of moderating. That's all I got to say. Was some good info. So atari 4x4 are you certain of this - have his posts been removed and what for? I must have missed this one. |

atari4x4 wrote: NFI pretty sure he asked for them to be deleted, was he the one who couldn't handle he booze? Ah ok, thats a lot better. I was thinking that it would be a bit stupid for the mods to just blanket delete someone's posts due to some kind of argument or online transgression, that's why I couldn't believe it because they seem pretty decent mods on this forum I suppose If he was asking for his posts to be deleted, - that's entirely different. Good call. it's still a shame though, but can't be helped i guess. |

Fair enough. TBH its getting a bit abusive on this forum. And my post above has done enough to get you wound up again and for that I apologise, I'm not particularly proud of that post. Fact is though I don't really want to be associated with this forum for the above couple of reasons, the abusive posts, or the fact that mods can be worked up in a way I haven't experienced on other forums. If you think I'll get the same abuse the next time I step out of line then just delete my user and posts now as well if it ain't too much trouble. On the other hand if you want me to stay I'll defately avoid posting anything like the above again. Cheers. |
