I personally would make the top bar a larger OD, as it may be more comfy to lean on... I suppose another option is to put roll bar padding on it too... Anyway Fatzook, if you can make sets of these then I reckon you could sell them! |

im definately interested, i just modified mine so the doors can be removed. but thats not legal, but a half door or tube door makes it legal and with a tube door, you could attach a motor bike handlebar mirror to it easily and not have to mount mirrors to the car. i put my hand up for a pair. and maybe my GF would b interested 4 her zook |

haha, i called Vehicle modifications & standards yesterday & asked the question about the doors. he said, if the car came with doors, it must have doors fitted. so i asked about tube and half doors & he said thats ok because the car is before the era of side impact bars. so long as its got some form of a door attached it was ok. i'd say the tube door would offer more protrection than the standard tin door any way. and as for the info above, thats just what some guy told me on the phone & may be different in other states. either way. i would love a set of those doors. |

I'd actually be interested in the legal side. Will have to chase it up for myself one day as i own a Coily and supposed to have intrusion bars. From the intrusion bars i have seen, including those which were retro fitted to my old 300ZX before it was complied, a set of tube doors look far stronger. |

yer i'm not saying they're illegal, i don't know. But i have never seen any vehicle in Australia driving around with tube doors. Except LJs with their wierdo little cross bars. |

I wouldn't use them for street driving anyway, I would simply put them in the back, and swap when I get to the trail, but it would be good to know for sure anyway... |

hehe i have thought about that too lumpy, but what do you do with your nromal doors at the trail? they won't fit in the back... have to hide them in the bush? |

Chain them up to a tree - Note - Only works if you come out the way you went in... |

i saw a new jeep soft top with what looked like a tube door with black vinal outer skin same as the rag top. and postie vans with the door slid back. maybe with the tube door u could screw some clear perspex to the outside. then its a "solid" door but clear. |

or you could get some vinyl/canvas covers made up with velcro straps that loop round the back of the door. Soft doors on road, tube doors off. and if you wanna get serios fatzook, you could settle on at least say an outer frame design/shape, (inner bars could still be customised design/made to order?) then send a set to maria at mucanvas to make up a prototype/template set of "soft door" covers. bit of a business venture for ya |

Pre coily IS legal to run doorless provided you still have mirrors. Pre coilies dont have side intrusion bars (adr39) so theres no need for them. So check your compliance plate and if there is no adr 39 your sweet. And yeah those doors look sweet Nik |
