its gonna cost you a fair bit of cash to swap to an efi 16b. guess it depends how much your going to spend on the carby car in the first place and how capable you are of swapping the efi one in. |

your probably looking at another $1000-1500 for an efi engine in good nic. with fitting up costs and other bits and pieces your looking at up to $2000 ontop of the price of the car to have it efied. an thats if you do it your self |

To retro fit EFI to a carby Vit you need the engine, complete wiring loom, fuel tank and a few other bits. You really need a whole parts car to do the neatest conversion. |

i am almsot finished a conversion from carby to efi, look at my build. Hasnt been easy, but then again iv had no previous experience working on cars, dads helped heaps but. I bought two donor lwb vits, one with an efi engine which i had to steal the loom and engine out of and put in the swb.. then swap some wires over to the gearbox.. bit of a pain, few bits dont fit from lwb to swb so that was a bit of a stuff around.. had to buy a high pressure EFI fuel line for the SWB as well as a new (secondhand) tank to suit the SWB efi. cost a bit so far, those estimates seem about right if not maybe a bit more if your doing it yourself.. way more if you pay a shop to do it for you. |

How about a TBI conversion? That would be the simplest way to get EFI |
