| Post subject: | radiator using alot of coolant |
hey guys, just another noobish question. i have a 1992 Suzuki sierra 1.3L. I have done a radiator flush out, and re field it with coolant and it all the coolant was gone the next day, so i flushed it out again and re topped it up and its been 2 says since i have done that and i just got back from a drive and its once again out off coolant, has anyone got any idea what could be causing it?. I think it could have a blown head casket because it is also blowing some smoke and is miss firing for about 5mins after starting it but not too sure. any help would be great thanks. |

Head gasket or cracked head/block would be my guess. Does your engine oil have a milky tinge to it?? |

dont put chemiweld in if you have a gasket, do it properly if your going to keep it, on use chemiweld as a last resort and you're flogging it off |

Also, replace the timing belt and water pump while your in there

After a chem-i-weld treatment as per the instructions it is fine even a year later, but it doesn't get driven much anymore. Originally, it always used a small amount of water but the crack became worse after a couple of radiator flushes. I suspect it had had a similar treatment before. I have also put chem-i-weld into my LWB Vitara. I discovered it had a cracked block when it did a headgasket but it definitely isn't using water now. |
