Yeah, yeah, I know, shifter bush. Given this is a 1981 SJ40 with a non-switch case, will the bush from a switched case fit? Could it be anything else? At the time I was fixing a transfer mount and pulling the front tail shaft out, from underneath I changed it from low 4 to neutral so I could turn the shaft then I got distractracted and went off to do something else. When I came back I found it was stuck in neutral. You can move the stick in a 20mm square and that's it. Force or rocking or forwards/reverse input from the gear box wont move it. I have not yet tried to pull the stick out and change gears with a screwdriver ect. Bloody car, I had a trip planned for today. Thanks Hayden |

Try lifting the stick a bit before trying to shift. |

Tried that, nothing. :/ I've tried just about everything in terms of stick positioning. Will the bush from a switched case fit a non switch case? Also, I need the boot that goes on the case, will a switched one fit? |
