hi all
ive just purchaced a reco head for a g16b and was wondering why both heads have different markings on them.
both heads are from 93 mod vitara efi and are exactly the same only they read like this

original. inside the head has marked 3.

side of head , S-3 16 7
camshaft R3J

head i just bought

inside head has marked YA7
Y1W
2

side of head S-10 27 D

camshaft R4C

i was also wondering if the cams are the same or one is bigger?
any help would be much appreciated :?

As castings are made the cast wears and needs to be touched up. Every revision is recorded with numbers or X's on the product.

If both are 93 Vit G16B I'd say the cams are identical.
Not hard to check if you have a degree wheel and a dial gauge.
