OK so im looking at a leafy tomorrow and I wanna do a bit of reasearch before i do. Whats the differences between a WT and a NT ie. Appearence, aftermarket parts and performance. After owning a coily i wanna make sure i get one to suit what i wanna do, not to say im bagging coilys, just doesnt suit my needs. Thanks, Brent |

WT's have the wider steel flares, updated grille, different dash ( IMO the NT dash looks better) and different gear ratios. I've said this before, but if you are looking to build a capable offroad vehicle buy a NT sierra and do WT diff swap ( gives better articulation due to inboarded springs ) All aftermarket parts ( upgrades ) fit NT and WT 1.3L sierras. |

Sorry to be a pain, i just wanna pick ur brain a bit, whats so different about the nt to the wt after u change the diffs to make it more capable? and what years do the nt and wt range through, coz im still a noob when it comes to leafys. |

i could have worded that better... why is a nt with wt diffs more capable then a wt? |

The inboard spring spacing of the NT coupled with the wider WT diff creates more leverage and hence more flex than a WT or NT stock. Also has the advantage of more room before big tyres foul on the spring at full steering lock. |

NT 1.3 1984ish to 1988 (generally 1987 build would be the latest you'd see.) WT 1988.5-1996 |

They are 26 spline where they go into the diff but fairly sure still stock number in CV. EDIT: Just checked and they are 26 spline both ends. So CV won't go on a stock axle... |
