Well after changing my car battery, my cd/radio has decided to pack it in & not work. Even though I have the PIN code & punched it in after following the instructions to the letter, the stupid thing still doesn't work.

So, I call the dealership where I bought the bloody car & they give me the code (same one as I have) & they tell me the radio is a Clarion & to call them for assistance. OK, so do that, but Clarion tells me my radio is not a Clarion (going by the serial numbers on the unit.) I cannot find a make/model anywhere on the unit! It just says SUZUKI....

Does anyone know what type of cd/radios a 2003 GV came with by any chance? Or where in the hell can I now go to get this stupid thing reset.

Suzuki used Phillips units for a while also. So that is a possibility. Only way to tell for sure is probably to remove the unit and have a look at the label on the back. Removal is pretty straight forward, jut a few screws and pieces of trim to come out. 8)

i don't know anythingh about this, but when you say it doesn;t work... does it have power to start with before you start putting codes in? maybe the fuse is blown or something.

i'll go back to my corner now :(

Yeah it has power cause as soon as I press the power on button, the word "CODE" appears which allows me to punch in the PIN #, plus the red LED security light flickers when everything is off & the time function also works OK (although it's showing the wrong time atm.)

I unscrewed everything & pulled the blasted thing out & still can't find a make/model name, only SUZUKI & a bar code with a serial number underneath it.

Time to head to a radio place me thinks, hopefully they can reset it without too many dramas.
