hi all, just wondering this has been happening alot, when driving for like 20mins in my 92 sierra all the coolant in the radiator flows into the overflow bottle and then all spills outta the overflow bottle, and all the coolant in the radiator what is left is all foaming. was just wondering if anyone knew why this would be happening? any help would be great cheers.

Sounds like the cylinders are pressuring the cooling system. Could be a headgasket

Could be a faulty radiator cap

Did the problem start after doing this? Is it a genuine cap?

as all the above. 99.9999999% chance its the headgasket.
what colour is the radiator fluid? is there any milky-ness in there?
is there continuous small bubles coming up in the fluid when you have bled the system?

you may not get a colour change in the coolant if its just dropped the gasket between the cylinder and water gallery.

Yay for head gaskets, Get it compression tested if you still don't think its a head gasket. then we can say "theres your sign"
