I've got the 323 gtx dist and rotor button. The dist cap is simple to fit. But how have people fitted the button onto the shaft? My get is to machine a spacer that will bolt/weld onto the existing shaft. I'd like some opinions or past experiences. I have a Mk3 Gti motor. :)

Cheers

my solution:

brass spacer to fit in the rotor button that slides onto the gti dist shaft. cut the shaft down 4mm and drill n insert a roll pin.

if thats all you need to fit the gti motor, i think you would have a pretty decent market there for anyone doing the same conversion. from what i have heard the adaptor angle drives you buy are big $!

might be an idea to make a complete setup ready to install and sell them for a tidy little profit.

Gday

Ive used the bush out of the GTI dizzy rotor and fitted it to the distributer. I was wondering if you could check the clearance (distance) of the rotor button from the side of the distributer.

Im trying to figure out if my rotor button is sitting to high or to low on the distributor shaft.

Cheers
