Post subject:  Head tensioning on V6 GV question??????

What is the reasoning behind the manual saying once tightened to 84Nm undo it till zero tension & then re- tension again.
I've built plenty of engines but never seen this??????????? Why for it say that??????????? :?

It's all done now & both heads were done twice..... Timing chain now & a few ancillaries & we can go back in.

a lot of the engine that i build as work need that kind of torque set, i guess it helps bring everything in evenly?
