i have a spotty i got ages ago to use as a reverse/work light for the rear of my jimny. i making the pole is the easy part, just want to know how other people have run their wires for their lights.

Basically, you will need the following...
SPDT Centre Off switch
Relay
Fuse
Suitable wire for light current
BATT (power)
Reverse wire
Earth

Can you draw a circuit that will work for you?

Run the cable through to the hinge side of the door and behind the interior panel, feed it through the rubber boot conduit to the door, drill a hole in the door's outer skin and stick a rubber grommet in the hole.

Don't drill into your spare ;)

Get one of the grommets that are closed and put a single hole in it with a nail. Force the cable through the tiny hole and it shouldn't need silicone.
