Post subject:  delay start 92 sierra

Hi all, i have a 92 sierra and just recently it has started to have a delay start. i turn the key to start it but nothing happens but if i hold the key on for lets say 6seconds it will kick over and start and every now and then its a lot longer then other times. would anyone know or be able to tell me what it could be? cheers all help would be great.

Also instead of making another topic, my transfer case makes like a ticking kinda noise while driving it only does it when driving but not when stopped in neutral. all help would be great thanks.

Delay start sounds like the ignition switch but could be anything from wiring to solenoid or even a relay if fitted.

Transfer noise could be bearing or one of the drive flange dust shields.

I'm at Bli Bli if you can get here I'll have a look.
