Does anyone know exactly how far back into the bell housing the GV Torque converter should sit????????? Can only get it to go back app. 15mm from the lip of the bell housing to the top of the nut on the converter ( where the flex plate bolts to), seems to be as far as I can get it to go...... only thing holding me up to getting the motor back in... |

Without ever having done one I'd say it should go in a bit further. Some converters take quite a few turns to seat properly |

I took ages to get mine to go in. What worked for me was: Bolting converter loosely to motor, than after assembly, tightening up through inspection plate hole. There is a topic on here somewhere that helped me sort it out. |
