Just wondering what the advantages / disadvantages are of extending bump stops?

I have a 1' bl but my front Tyres still get cut up from the top of my guards?

There's the advantage. :D limits up travel.

Here's the disadvantage- If you buy shocks, adjust shackles and mounts to suit the bumpstop spacing the increased droop on flexing will take the compressed wheel nearly as high as pre- spacer.

It's a balance.
