i have just found some time to finish my transplant of a g13b engine into my sierra. i have made a complete new wiring harness using the swift harness i got with the engine. i am having trouble getting the engine to run, it starts, has oil pressure, runs for about 10 seconds and stops. is there any advice of things to look for? the only thing i may not have done, is given the computer a signal from the oil pressure switch. plenty of fuel, engine runs sweet when it starts, but wont run any longer than 10 seconds
any help would be appreciated.
also looking for zookfun if he is still on the forum, can he please PM me.

dodgy AFM maybe. jump on redline and search for how to test to see if your AFM is within spec. do you have your check engine light hooked up? if you do check for error codes. Turns out ive got it book marked! lucky you http://www.redlinegti.com/images/person ... 6e1-48.jpg

Your ecu doesnt need oil pressure signal and it shoud still run with a dodgy AFM. Have you got a rpm signal from your coil to the ecu? some thing that i messed up on one time. also what mrk is it? What dizzy set up have you done, not that dodgy mazda cap idear .

its a mark 3 engine. i have used the dizzy that came with the engine, i installed my engine forward slightly, so the stock dizzy fits with no right angle drive. worked out well, gearbox lines up with hole better too. trying to get hold of another AFM, i have the workshop manual, which shows how do diagnose the afm, trying that tonight

ok, put new afm on the engine, no difference. however i have found that the engine is starving for fuel. i am using a bosch high pressure electric fuel pump. does anyone have a diagram of how the fuel system should be plumbed up. i am getting plenty of fuel up to the engine but not much going into the injectors. any help?
