Well I've finally decided that getting a vitara is high on the agenda since I lost mine late last year.

Now I've been looking around on this site and many others for about six months. I like the Idea of getting a 2ltr model for the extra pulling power because eventually I wnat to leave Katherine and tow a small trailer so I can get all of my shit out of here and do it on the cheap.
I also like the idea of having that extra power for out on the tracks and also living in the Northern Territory I have plenty of Highway klms to do. Just seems like the 2ltr is the way to go.

I have had a Vitara before and it was a g16b and it was awesome. Best car I've ever had I reckon. Parts are easy to come by and by all reports there an awesome engine.

Ok is the j20a a good engine parts wise, Availability wise, longevity, all compared to the g16b? Bassicaly what are the pro's and cons?

So far I can only tell that there is more g16b vitara's available than j20a but I spose that is because of production years.

Also is the production years going to affect different lift kits and the like going under it?
