has any one got any idea what i can muck around with to fix my rear lights and horn so they work ? i have no wiring experience. but when my spotlights failed i managed to fix them by fiddling with the relay ect. does anyone know if reverse lights and horn would go through the relay ? maybe that just needs a new one ? i also had a look at the wires under the glove box and theres a red wire with nothing to connect to and a thick white connecter which also has nothing to connect with :?

Checked fuses?

If the horn and reverse lights went through the same relay then they would both operate at the same time.

The wires under the dash could be for extras like aircon or something...

Get a test pencil and check things like whether the light relay has power to it, and whether the power is leaving it too.

if you separate the surfaces and use a wire brush on the grinder it'll clean up real nice.

Pull the centre off the steering wheel, then make sure the contact points are nice and shiny. A fine file or emery cloth will help.

Horn will have a bad contact. If you take the button off the wheel you may find the contacts are dirty or mis-aligned

update! horn works when it wants too and i pulled out the reverse switch and sprayed contact cleaner on it and the connector to the power etc. and they worked but once i took it out and put it back into reverse they dont work again and the same spraying method doesnt work would this mean its defiantly the switch ?
