hey guys,

after storming through threads and finding tons of gearing options and ratios, that i cannot understand for the life of me.. can i get some simple help.

found myself in possession of a pretty new set of 31's

they fit, but what is my best option for getting the 'gearing' so to speak, back to stock so it drives normally again, my sierrra has the G16A motor.. but what is the best way to get her running back normal? ( obviously the cheapest way possible )

if you are going to use ratios, explain what they mean.. i have no idea.. my difs are from the standard 97 coily, same with the 1.3L transfer that is in it

thanks in advance guys

if you have a coily your gunna need a leafy transfercase to gear it as the coilys cases are chain driven.
if you go on the lowrange website there is a big chart at the top that gives the ratios for each tyre size.

the ratios are pretty easy for example 5.14:1 means that for every 5.14 turns of the input shaft (from your gearbox) on the transfer case, the output shaft (to the diffs) will turn one revolution. therefore the higher the number the lower the gearing.

You will also need a leafy jackshaft (shorter) as the input shaft on a coily case is further back.
