Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 96 coily with a g16b in it. It appears to be running a g13a sump to clear the diff which is all good however the back of the sump just brushes the flywheel, which in turn destroys my sump gasket. It is running the factory sierra gearbox and what looks like a benT adapter plate. What I am asking is has anyone experienced this before? What did you do to fix it? So far I am thinking measure the adapter plate and get one of the fitters at work to machine a spacer to sit behind the flywheel. Or modify the sump.

Thanks in advance

Sando

Do you mean G16b because I'm pretty sure you won't need a adapter to run a sierra case on a G13b engine

Take the sump off and carefully grind back the edge that hits until clear

I did it with a g16a but I bashed it to clear the bearing cap there's a sample plate on the gbox I had to bend that so it didn't hit. If you take the sump off you should be able to see where it hits its in the instructions that come with the bent kit I can find mine for the life of me but pm him and hell give you a better explanation then me hope it helps you champ
