Was wondering since there is no plug leads as such, how the fug do I check the timing  Have fixed the O2 sensor, should the light bugger off by itself  Note; Oxygen sensor was done from the top & easier with the heat shield off exhaust manifold( for those who are yet to do one). |

Have you tried disconnecting the battery? Timing is all controlled by the computer |

The manual says timing should be at 10 degrees & it has all the shizzle for it on the timing cover. Disconnected the flattery for 45 mins I guess it has to be longer. |

What was the O2 sensor fault from the code reader? O2 output to high or output too low? You may have a leak/crack in the exhaust manifold possibly causing the O2 sensor to still read erratic and re-trigger the check light |

The reading was to lean followed by a to a to rich. It is running smooth as silk now so I will at some point get it read again this time I will pay with rum!! ; ) lol. |

Shouldn't need more than 10-15mins to reset. It may also have an intake leak |

We had a look at the graph on the scan tool & it showed us the MAF, both O2 sensors & you could definitely see the bad one. But I will be keen to see what we get when I check it again. |

If you pull back the sheath over the coil pack wiring, you'll find three wires, +12V switched, coil pack drive & ground - clip the inductive pick up over either the +12V switched or ground (choose one of the outside wires) and see it it flashes (mine does) - there should be a notch in the crankshaft pulley and a mark on the timing cover. |

If it doesn't have a distrubter, you can't adjust the timing, so there is no point being able to check it. Timing is taken care of by the ecu. |

It has adjustment on it, the manual says it has to be set at 10 degrees, so fucks me batman........... Guess I need to have a look out of curiosity. |

The ECU handles the dynamic advance based on vacuum and rpm, but there's a base advance which is set using the cam position sensor, and it is adjustable. There's a jumper that needs to be inserted to "lock" the ecu advance - check www.Rhinopower.org for the specifics. |
