Howdy all, I have an 89 SWB sierra that I have put the G16B in. Car hasn’t been registered for 5 yrs and now would like to. Has no other mods.
Question is do I need it engineered to register it? And is there any engineers around the Nowra/Wollongong region that people recommend/have used?

Thanking you all.

Pretty sure you would for a 1.6L G16B. Ive read a few things about not needing an engineers certificate if its a G13B though, someone tell me if thats wrong or not!

Thought I'd give some feedback on "Motor Engineers & Repairers" in St Georges Basin, NSW. Although somewhat slow at the paper work, Peter is extremely reasonable. He asked about the engine/gearbox adaptor plate and engine mounts, when told it was made by benT and many have done it he was happy. He asked about the body lift and when told it had crush sleaves and was lathed up with proper female bolts he was happy. $850 and 2.5 weeks latter for the paper work, I have a compliance cert.

And for those who haven’t seen a compliance cert before (I hadn't or had any idea what they checked)

Am interested in what others think of the price, from what I have spent on it so far it seemed reasonable. Has anyone got cheaper without mates rates?
