got my springs in the mail today, so i ducked into town and got some new shocks to match.
installed the drivers side front first all was good, everything was going fine.
finished installing the passengers front and went to put shock on to find out that the bush on the bottom mount was far too small.
i double checked the part number etc and then realized that the box had been opened and taped up again. this is a fuck up on supercheaps side
its obviously been bought and brought back because of wrong bush yet they have taped it up and resold it to me. very angry, i now have no car until atleast friday.

on another note, i dont know if its just my eyes but it seems to be leaning to drivers side abit, i was sure that i put the slighter taller spring on the drivers side
but maybe i stuffed up and mixed them up, other then that im very happy with quality of EFS so far.

Welcome to the Sierra lean, you have many hours of pulling out and replacing leaves infront of you.

My advice - embrace the lean, love it, be proud of it, show it. I love it that much I replicate it with my other cars

the shackle angles are different aswell, maybe its the uneven ground, ill try and get on some level ground.
will swapping them help anything or will it just lean the other way? or are the springs actually exactly the same and it leans coz of the weight

I use to work at super dooper and honestly, the most probable reason it has been retaped is because some knob opened it to have a look at it. Look on the shock itself and compare the part number to each other, If a customer did what I call a switcheroo, they will replace it for the correct one.

The only other reason causing the lean MAY be that the spring hadn't been seated correctly in the right position. (presuming it coil sprung) The lean wouldn't be caused by the shock as it is exactly that, a shock dampner, it doesn't affect the ride height at all.I have read stories that the driver's side is a tad higher to compensate for the driver's weight in which it may sag further than the other sides... but I could be wrong on that.

I never once thought that it was the shock causing it. everything is properly seated. the reason i was thinking i got the springs mixed up is because the shackle angle on the driver side is less vertical than the passenger. maybe the EFS springs are identical and the extra weight is causing the lean?

Put EFS springs in my Sierra recently and all I can say is get used to the lean. Swapping the front springs will cure it temporarily but it will always come back. And if the ride feels like the diffs are welded to the chassis, don't worry, they get nice and soft after about 1000ks :D

You have probably put the springs in the wrong side they are usually marked. What springs ate they, are they new ?

The EFS springs aren't marked as to which side they go on. If you read the OP's posts you will see he is using EFS.

They usually have a '+' or '-' painted at one end of the top leaf

Before fitting leaf springs place them arch up on a flat surface.
One will nearly always have more arch than the other.
Place this one on the drivers side.

Thats what i did! it was my imagination i took it for a quick little drive to flex it out abit and it seems to be sitting level now.

And yes it does seem abit stiff for "comfort" but its still shades better then what was in there.
Two questions now,
As i have almost no weight in the back (just my rear bar) and i VERY rarely tow a trailer will 3 leaves in the back be better off then 4, i have already removed the load assist leaf
secondly, how big bump stop extensions do i need. will 50mm2 SHS do the trick?
